As they hunt the killer, Abby’s secret becomes a threat to Jace’s authority and to her own life. But the real danger is the grip she has on his twice-shy heart.

Clarity- The Complete Series by Loretta Lost book tour

Clarity – The Complete Series by Loretta Lost

Synopsis:

This bundle contains all three books in the Clarity series:

Clarity 1
Her world has always been dark, but he might be able to change everything…
Fiercely independent Helen Winters was born completely blind, but she vowed never to let her disability keep her down. She did not expect a traumatic event to devastate her life and force her to drop out of college. Disillusioned by the cruelty of people, Helen retreated from society to live by herself as a reclusive writer in the woods–where no one could ever hurt her again.

When a brilliant young doctor shows up on her doorstep, promising her that his new research can give her the ability to see for the first time, Helen stubbornly refuses. She has learned not to trust anyone, and to rely only on herself. But Dr. Liam Larson will not take no for an answer. He makes it his personal mission to rescue Helen from her loneliness, and bring joy into her world once more–the joy she has denied herself for so long.
When Helen’s demons come racing back into her life, threatening to rip her apart and destroy the strength she has carefully rebuilt, Liam is the only one who might be able to save her. Can he reach the broken girl in time, helping her to heal and see the world in a different light? Or will Helen’s grief send her spiraling out of control, lost to him forever?

Clarity 2:
When violent memories come racing back, he is her only hope…

Helen Winters was living a lonely existence when the charming Dr. Liam Larson coaxed her out of solitude with the promise of healing her sightless eyes. She was hopeful at the prospect of gaining vision for the first time and being reunited with her family. She was also growing somewhat fond of the persuasive young doctor. For the first time in years, she was being magnetically drawn to a new friend…

Then everything came crashing down.

Plunged into a hellish nightmare, Helen is forced to face the same evils she ran away to escape so long ago. She is unprepared to have her hopes crushed and her peace destroyed. She finds herself living in constant terror and drowning in fear–and Liam’s voice is the only thing that can keep her afloat. His comforting touch becomes the only light in her pitch-black darkness. Helen has always been a tough girl who relied only on herself. But this time, she can’t survive alone. Due to the horrors of her past, Helen has promised herself not to trust anyone. When her life becomes unbearable, how can she trust Liam enough to let him save her?

Clarity 3:
After many years of darkness, Winter never thought that she’d be happy or safe again. Her whole world changed when she met Liam Larson, a charming young doctor determined to be her knight in shining armor. When a brutal night unleashes vicious reminders of her past, Winter must struggle to hold on to the little bit of happiness she has found.

When everything begins to fall apart, Liam’s strength and kindness might not be enough to save her. Battling with the betrayal of her family, terrifying nightmares, and frequent reminders of her enemy that make daily life difficult, Winter’s first instinct is to run away. She is tired of being the victim and living in a cruel, crowded city where she doesn’t feel like she belongs.

But Liam promises her that if she only trusts him, he can change everything. And that’s exactly what he attempts to do, starting with an operation to heal her eyes, and then her heart…

Sing For Me by Gracie Madison book tour, contest, and interview

Sing For Me by Gracie Madison

Synopsis:

Madeline Noel fled war-torn Heaven to hide within the mortal world, but the blessing that could protect her from evil is the holy realm’s forbidden power.
As a talented soprano for the Eden Theatre Company, Madeline hides among prima donnas and tone-deaf flutists. Her perfect voice may entertain audiences, but a careless laugh may shatter glass, and her greatest scream can kill. To control her unrestrained voice, the angels forbid Madeline from embracing the emotions that strengthen her song. Anger. Fear.
Love.
The demon-hunter Damascus vows to defend Madeline from Hell’s relentless evil, but he cannot protect her from her own feelings. Though they deny their dangerous attraction, her guardian becomes her greatest temptation.
Surrendering to desire may awaken the gift suppressed within Madeline’s soul, and neither Heaven nor Hell will allow such absolute power to exist.

AUTHOR BIO:

Gracie Madison would spend every day, all day writing…if it were socially acceptable.  Ever since she was a little girl scribbling with a crayon, Gracie’s dedicated herself to her books and all the supernatural and paranormal, creepy and beautiful stories and characters born within the pages. Now Gracie is committed to finally sharing those books with the world.  When the laptop is pried from her hands, Gracie is probably working her day job, rooting on the Steelers, or out with her husband searching for Pittsburgh’s best sushi.

Interview with Gracie Madison

Please start by telling us a little about yourself (education, jobs, significant other, children, pets, etc.)
Hi, everyone! I’m Gracie Madison, a twenty-eight year old author from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I write paranormal and new adult romance, and I absolutely love every minute of it!
Though I am so close to being a full-time writer, I am still working my day job. I went to school majoring in english, and I found my job as a bookkeeper. (The horror!) Hasn’t been too bad though—QuickBooks and I are pretty tight now.
When I’m not working either job, I’m most likely out on a sushi date night with my husband…my very tolerate husband who, in addition to doing all the chores, housework, and dinners while I’ve been getting ready to publish, has probably developed mercury poisoning thanks to my preferred dinners. He’s such a trooper. ;)
Tell us about your latest New Adult book and what inspired you to write it.
I actually started writing Sing For Me back in 2009, right when I living through that scary place after college where you could either sink, swim, or (most frightening of all) move back in with your parents.
In Sing For Me, Madeline has her first taste of that “real world,” though, instead of worrying about rent and groceries, she’s on her own trying to survive within darkness, demons, and angelic civil wars. But what should be a terrifying experience for her actually allows her to finally experience what life is—independence, love, and the discovery of her true potential.
The New Adult genre is fairly new. What's your definition of it? How does it differ from Young Adult or just regular Adult books?
To me, New Adult is that moment when you go online to search for jobs and every entry-level position requires three-to-five years of experience. Your student loans are breaking the bank, your car needs a new alternator, and your Facebook feed fills with pictures of people’s engagement rings. That moment of determination to make it, the desperation to get that better job, find that better place to live, meet that better partner is what NA is all about. I love stories of independence and the courage to take the risk to succeed without the safety net of young adult literature (parents, age, school, friends) or the established life of regular adult literature (the established careers, the second chances at love, etc).
Do you belong to any critique groups and/or do you have other people read your work as you're writing it? Who's brutally honest and who's a cheerleader? Which do you prefer?
I have an amazing support system of critique partners and friends. My awesome beta group, the Off-Beats, has been with me for the past two years whipping my manuscripts into shape. My Romantica crew were the first to encourage me to explore self-publishing. And my friends, especially Brittany <3, have never given up on Sing for Me, even after the traditional publishing world shied away from the paranormal genre. They are all so important to me, and I can’t thank them enough for how much they’ve done for me!
What are your all-time favorite authors/books?
I absolutely love Patricia A. McKillip. Her books are absolutely beautiful fantasy and are so well-written I’ve actually put the books down just to think about how beautiful her lines are. I started out as a fantasy writer before more and more romance crept into my stories, and her books are a perfect blending of the fantastic, romantic, and mysterious.
One of my favorite books of all-time was Sahara by Clive Cussler. That was the first thriller I read as a child, and the way he blended different genres and science and action into one book just amazed me.
The more I type the more I think of! Eek! I love anything from The Strangely Beautiful Tale of Miss Percy Parker by Leanna Renee Hieber to everything JR Ward has done to some really amazing New Adult books by Rebecca Yarros and Pepper Winters. One of these days I’m just taking a reading vacation—me, a book, and a fuzzy blanket…or fuzzy navel. Maybe both! ; )
Do you outline before you write or just dive head-first into a manuscript? Do you maintain a schedule for writing, or is it more haphazard?
·         Outline
·         Outline
·         Outline some more...
I am so insane about my outlining and planning. Absolutely everything needs to be written, discovered, and sorted out before I’ll even start writing. I think it does let me write a bit faster though, so I really recommend it to writers who have difficulty getting words to the paper.
I am strict with myself, super scheduled and super dedicated, and it does work for me. Some days it might me working all day, coming home, making dinner, and then getting back on the computer until midnight. But I still wouldn’t trade my novels for anything.
Where do you do your best writing? (Ex: desk in your office, public library, under a tree in the park, in front of a Real Housewives TV marathon, etc.) Do you like music or some other background noise, or do you need quiet?
Since I’m still day-jobbing away, my best writing comes on the weekends. I’ll either dictate or snuggle on the couch with my laptop. Both come with music, though I will actually listen to just one or two songs on loop while writing the entire book. For Sing For Me, it was Guns N Roses Don’t Cry.
What are the best and worst parts of writing a book?
Best: When everything *clicks* and you get that brilliant moment of inspiration you’ve been dying for and you can write it into the story and have this awesome emotional moment of pure excitement…
Worst: …When that *click* doesn’t happen.
When you're driving and you have a sudden, brilliant idea for the new manuscript you're working on, what do you do? (Ex: pull over and fire up the laptop, keep driving while scribbling on a McDonald's bag, tell Siri, etc.)
Oh, immediately into the phone however I can get it! Note app, email, text. I’ll dictate it if I’m not stopped, but I capture those ideas like whoa. I’m so prepared for those moments of inspiration, I’ve even found waterproof paper for the shower—it’s been a lifesaver.
Imagine you have a whole day free for shopping. Where do you go? (Mall, unique boutiques, flea market, antique shops, bookstore, home improvement store, etc.)
Uhoh, I hatttteeee shopping, but…there’s a little chocolate factory near my hometown called Sarris Candies. It has an ice cream parlor and all sorts of chocolate and candies. That might be a painless shopping trip…except on the wallet.
What are the top 5 titles in your Netflix queue? (Be honest.) Or if you don't have a Netflix queue, which books are on your bedside table? (Again, be honest.)
Oh, easy! Sons of Anarchy and Gilmore Girls (I love the image in my queue there), Friends and Breaking Bad (Also amusing), and Arrested Development—just to rewatch again and again.
Where is your favorite place in the world?
My loveseat with my laptop!
Do you have any advice for people who want to write a book?
Outline, outline, outline. Get your ideas on paper and then see how best to form them into the plot you want. If you get stuck, think of ways to make the characters squirm: What is the worst thing that could happen now? Plot is just a game of cause and effect—because this happened, that had to happen, however, because that happened, this happened, therefore this new event occurred…
So, find a good group of beta readers to really give you honest feedback on your book, and reciprocate. I found the easiest way to learn was by editing other people’s books. Sometimes it’s easier to see mistakes/crutches in other manuscripts before you can see it in your own.

Review: My Hot Teacher by Isabella Johns

My Hot Teacher by Isabella Johns

Link to buy My Hot Teacher: (A New Adult erotic romance/coming of age novel)

Story Rating: 4 out of 5

Blurb:

What happens when a college senior finally meets the man of her dreams and he happens to be her new, young, totally hot English professor?

Celine vows that senior year will be different... when she finally reinvents herself as someone secure, sophisticated, and sexy! After encountering the exquisite fineness of Professor Beard, she's sure that this will be her time.

With an unusual boldness, Celine sets in motion a journey of erotic self-discovery with her new teacher, who is not only handsome and kind, but masterful and seductive, a man, not a college boy, someone capable of releasing the smoldering passion that has been buried within her for so long.

But Celine also needs a man who can love her back with the same intensity she feels for him.  Is the Professor the one? Their burning connection gifts her with the confidence to go for it in a way she never thought possible.

An epic, romantic journey of lust, love, and bliss... MY HOT TEACHER!

Review:

Teachers and students shouldn't mix. It's a well-known rule--and nothing gives our libidos a greater kick than breaking the rules. Stroll through any department store at Halloween time and you're sure to find at least one Sexy Schoolgirl costume. Peek into any J.K. Rowling fanfiction archive and you'll find Snape bending Hermione over a desk in fairly short order... or Harry Potter, for that matter. It seems quite a few of us fantasize about teachers taking advantage of their power. More often than not, it is the teacher that makes the first move in these stories, suggesting just what his failing student could do to earn the A they so desperately need.

In MY HOT TEACHER, Isabella Johns plays with this trope deftly. Although Celine aggressively pursues her teacher, she remains the submissive ingénue in her sexual relationship with Professor Beard. Because of this, the plot never slows, and yet the reader still gets to be dominated--and educated!--by a strict and demanding teacher. It keeps the sex hot without the relationship becoming clichéd.

The sex itself is all about power. In reality, the positions and toys used are all fairly vanilla, but how they are employed is not. Dominance and submission plays a part of almost every sex scene in the book, to the point where Celine wonders if a relationship without that dynamic is even possible. Can the man she loves only be with her as the Professor? MY HOT TEACHER keeps readers turning pages, eager for the sex scenes and eager to find out whether this couple will end up together.

New Adult and Young Adult

NA and YA

The most common question we get here at NewAdultBookReviews.com is, "What exactly is the New Adult (NA) genre? Isn't it just a different name for Young Adult (YA)?" The short answer to that question is, "No way!"

The second most common question we hear is, "Who took my slice of pizza out of the fridge?" The answer to that is always, "I didn't see your name on it!"

The third most common question we hear is, "What, then, is the difference between NA and YA books?" For that question, we have a slightly longer answer. What we say is that there's quite a bit to distinguish the two genres. Young adult fiction typically spans the main characters' teen years, up through high school. They're usually dependent on parents or guardians and are (or should be) in school. These books focus on the mindset of a teenager, including emphasis on school, friends, and families. Characters might begin to consider their futures, including careers, but aren't ready to focus on them yet.

New Adult books pick up where YA leaves off, focusing on main characters between 18 and 25 years old who are much more independent. They might be in college or entering the workforce. They might still be financially dependent on their parents/guardians, but since they're legally adults, we don't need any special story lines to find these characters out on their own. For instance, in many YA books, the main characters' parents have fallen victim to some tragedy that has resulted in their death or disappearance. That allows the YA teenage protagonists to be more independent than kids this age would normally be. Harry Potter, for example, is a young boy on his own because his parents died at the hands of an evil wizard. The Hunger Games' YA heroine Katniss Everdeen is pulled away from her family by a cruel government that wants to televise her death.

Another interesting distinction between YA and NA is sex. Because YA protagonists are generally underage, YA books don't include graphic sex. On the other hand, NA characters are usually at least 18 years, so they can and often do enjoy explicit, vigorous, and even experimental sexual situations. Is it any wonder the NA genre is gaining such popularity?

The New Adult genre has snagged the attention of both YA readers and YA writers. The Society for Children's Book Writers and Illustrators published an article in their September/October 2014 SCBWI Bulletin called "New Adult Fiction for the Young Adult Writer" by Deborah Halverson. It focuses on how writers of YA fiction can access the NA audience. The article points out that many authors of NA fiction also write YA, and not surprisingly, there's a great deal of carryover between readers of NA and YA.

So, yes, New Adult is a relatively new genre with its own unique characteristics, but its roots are in the perennial favorite Young Adult category. Who knows? Tomorrow your favorite YA authors might release the next hot NA title. Stay tuned to NewAdultBookReviews.com for details.

Blurb:

When puberty brings on her first Shift, Missy goes into the mountains for two years until finally learning to Change back. She only has her instincts to guide her and those drive her to train herself to extremes. She must control those instincts; dampening the wild predator is often necessary. Her raging hormones and enhanced senses require very strong controls; she explores what happens when those controls are relaxed.

Review:

I do love shifter books and PG Allison is a new to me author. this was a good story, I did wonder if the writer was used to writing papers of if she was a professor because this was very detailed to the point of explaining more than the reader needs to know. This also brings the book to a bit over 300 pages.

I like the concept of what the writer was trying to convey but it took a bit for me to actually get into the story, I did find myself drifting a couple of times.

The story wrapped itself around some dark subjects and made it more difficult to read. This book definitely needs a warning label that it is not intended for readers under 18.

#Hater by Cambria Hebert book tour and contest

#Hater by Cambria Hebert
(Hashtag #2)

Synopsis:

It started with unspoken animosity. The bitter bite of jealousy. And now its full blown hate.

It was during my first football game that I first felt the first chill of hate. I looked it right in the eyes and felt its sticky tentacles reach out for me. I’d never experienced something so cold and empty before.

The effect of that look lingered, like an unspoken promise, long after it was gone.

Becoming a couple – becoming the other half of a campus celebrity wasn’t easy. I let down walls guarding my heart and he looked past my glasses and accident prone tendencies. Romeo and I are an unlikely match, a #nerd and a jock. But we made it.

And we’re happy.

Zach doesn’t want us to be happy. He wants Romeo to pay for getting him kicked out of Omega and for the night he spent in jail. He’s going to use anything and everything he can to get his revenge. Including me.

As the weather on campus grows cold and the days become dark, revenge becomes the center of someone’s life and the happiness Romeo and I worked so hard for is threatened.

I can’t help but worry that our love is going to be overshadowed by hate.

Excerpt:

The familiar chatter fills my ears as soon as I step inside, and I grab a juice. As I wait to pay, I absently scan the tables. Wild hair, wilder clothes, outrageous make-up. Your typical college students.
Except the guy sitting alone at a table in a corner. No wild hair or clothes, and yet he snags my gaze, hooks me and reels me in. I study the familiar close-cropped blond hair, the beautiful profile, the powerful shoulders stretching his gray sweater.
Dylan.
My turn comes to pay for my juice, and instead I drop my purse and spill coins everywhere. Laughter ripples around me. Yeah, your typical college student is also easily amused.
Mortified, I glance in Dylan’s direction, but he seems lost in thought. Thank God. I pay and clutch my juice like a shield in front of me as I make my way toward him. After thinking about Sean, Dylan’s presence makes me feel better. Safe. Warm.
So I approach, taking him in. He’s dressed in well-worn jeans and that old sweater he’s had since high school. He needs no expensive suits. With his broad shoulders and trim body, he’s so hot he’d put any male model to shame.
It strikes me how much he’s grown from the boy he was when we dated. Even from the boy he was a year ago, with the purple bangs. It’s like he’s shed all playfulness, all childishness, as if he had to give it up overnight.
Not sure why, but it makes me sad for him.
“Hey,” I say, and sit across from him.
He starts, pushing back from the table, and I frown as I notice the dark bags under his blue eyes, and how thin his handsome face has become. He hasn’t shaved for at least a couple of days, and his jaw is covered in golden stubble.
“Tess,” he whispers, and my breath catches. He never calls me that nowadays. “What do you want?”
“You didn’t show up in biology class,” I say, before I lose my nerve. “And I haven’t talked to you in a while. Is everything okay?”
“Fine,” he mutters.
“You’ve missed many classes already.”
“I never enrolled in that class. Or any class.”
“You never…” My brain stalls. “Then why did you show up on the first day?”
“Because I hoped I could do this,” he snaps, and it’s my turn to flinch. “I’m not enrolled in college. Not anymore.”
“That’s a pity,” I whisper. My chest aches.
He gets up. “Look, I’ve got to go.”
“Yeah.” I nod, finally accepting what Audrey has been telling me all along. “Take care, Dylan.”
His eyes narrow. “You too. What’s this about?”
“This is about me,” I say and unscrew the lid off my juice with shaky hands.
“What do you mean?” His face is pale, the silver ring in his lip glinting dully in the fluorescent lights of the cafeteria.
I force myself to look away. “I mean,” I say softly, “this is goodbye.”

Interview with author Bethany Lopez

Please start by telling us a little about yourself (education, jobs, significant other, children, pets, etc.)

I retired from the US Air Force last August, and since then I’ve been writing full time, and getting to be a full time mom to. My husband is still in the Air Force, and we are currently stationed in North Carolina, although I’d really love to get to be stationed overseas one more time before he retires. We have five children all together, three who are still living at home with us.
I began writing in 2010, and self-published my first book in 2011. Since then I have released fifteen titles. I write a mixture of YA, NA, and Romance.

Tell us about your latest New Adult book and what inspired you to write it.

My current NA book is 10 Years, and it is book five in my Time for Love series. Each book focuses on a different couple, and I always knew that I wanted to show Gwen and Craig’s relationship over a span of time. They are both the younger siblings of other characters in the series, and I liked the idea of seeing everyone grow.

I focus on some heavy material in this book, more so than the others in the series, and although I know some readers may be turned off by the subject matter, I think it’s important to write organically, and hopefully help someone who has dealt with a similar situation.
I tend to do this in some way in all of my books. I like to write about real situations, and real reactions to those situations.

The New Adult genre is fairly new. What's your definition of it? How does it differ from Young Adult or just regular Adult books?

I think New Adult is categorized by the age of the characters. I’ve seen differing views on this, but in my opinion, characters who are out of high school, which could be seventeen or eighteen, all the way through their mid-to-late twenties. It’s that time in your life where you are out of your parents home, and starting to discover who you are. Suddenly, you are responsible for your own decisions, mistakes, and successes, and you’re trying to find your place in the world. It’s an exciting time, filled with angst, joy, and extreme emotions, which makes it really fun to write.

Do you belong to any critique groups and/or do you have other people read your work as you're writing it? Who's brutally honest and who's a cheerleader? Which do you prefer?

I have a critique partner, someone who reads my chapters as I write them. She is very honest and doesn’t shy away from giving me her opinions, which I like. Then I have a group of people who beta read for me, once the first draft is finished. They tell me whether or not the flow of the story is believable, and what they do and do not like about the characters.

What are your all-time favorite authors/books?

This is so hard, because I’m an avid reader. I’ve always read Nora Roberts and Stephen King. Some of my new favorites include: Kristen Ashley, Kristen Proby, Samantha Young, Karina Halle, Dannika Dark, Tarryn Fisher, and Penny Reid.

Do you outline before you write or just dive head-first into a manuscript? Do you maintain a schedule for writing, or is it more haphazard?

I don’t have an outline, but I build stories in my head months before I start writing, and will often jot down notes in various notebooks. I don’t have a strict schedule, but I tend to like to write in the morning, and save my evenings for family time.

Where do you do your best writing? (Ex: desk in your office, public library, under a tree in the park, in front of a Real Housewives TV marathon, etc.) Do you like music or some other background noise, or do you need quiet?

I change it up. Sometimes I’ll write at the kitchen table, or at Starbucks, but usually I’m in my office at my desk. Sometimes I’ll have music playing in the other room, so that I can hear it as background noise, but it isn’t in the same room that I am. I can’t watch TV, or else I won’t get any writing done.

What are the best and worst parts of writing a book?

I always love writing the big emotional scenes, and the ending. The hardest tend to be the middle for me, because I want to get to the big scenes, but I know that I have to include the journey as well, and I don’t want to rush it.

When you're driving and you have a sudden, brilliant idea for the new manuscript you're working on, what do you do? (Ex: pull over and fire up the laptop, keep driving while scribbling on a McDonald's bag, tell Siri, etc.)

I have jotted it down, did a voice text/note in to my phone, and just prayed that I’d remember it when I finally stopped.

Imagine you have a whole day free for shopping. Where do you go? (Mall, unique boutiques, flea market, antique shops, bookstore, home improvement store, etc.)

Yay! I love to shop, Lol! I’m an equal opportunity shopper. I enjoy the mall, outlets, and individual stores. Some of my favorites are book stores, Lucky, Old Navy, and Kohls. Of course, when I’m with my kids, I end up at American Eagle, Nike, Under Armour, Game Stop, Claire’s, Hot Topic, or the Disney Store, depending on who I’m with.

What are the top 5 titles in your Netflix queue? (Be honest.) Or if you don't have a Netflix queue, which books are on your bedside table? (Again, be honest.)

We are a little crazy with Netflix right now, which makes it harder to write! We’ve gotten in to The Following, The Walking Dead, Gilmore Girls, Parenthood, and American Horror Story. So we’re catching up on TV shows that others have been watching for years.

Do you prefer to read ebooks or print?

I read a lot more ebooks than print now, but I still love having print copies of my favorites.

Where is your favorite place in the world?

Italy. Hands down. My husband took a trip there while we were stationed in Belgium, and I’m dying to go back. We flew in to Venice, then took the train to Rome, Florence, and Pisa, before flying back home. It’s a magical place, and the food is fantastic!

Do you have any advice for people who want to write a book?

Don’t give up. Keep writing and don’t be afraid to try new things. If you’re planning to publish, be prepared to do a lot of work marketing, not just your book(s), but yourself. Try to avoid negative reviews whenever possible, and don’t measure your success by the success of others.

*Story contains explicit/steamy scenes that are intended for mature readers.
**All books in C.J. Lake’s Attraction Series are standalone novels with NO cliffhangers.

It was supposed to be a simple job.  A favor for a friend, nothing complicated.  But that was before I realized who Emma was.  I knew I wasn’t imagining the tension between us–still there and getting stronger every second.  She wanted to keep things professional now.  I suppose we’d have to try–because if we gave in…once would never be enough…

I never thought I’d see Matt Winter again, and now here he was.  Working on my house!  Making me nervous, flustered, and almost breathless.  Disarming me and making me feel things I haven’t even considered since my husband died four years ago.  No, I don’t want to want him.  My life was in order before he came, and I’m leaving Boston anyway.  Forget Matt.  It’s the only logical option.  So…why can’t I stay away from him?

Review: A Week in Savannah by S.J. Knight

A Week in Savannah by S. J. Knight

Link to buy A Week in Savannah (Savannah Series Book 1)

Story Rating: 3 out of 5

I'm not quite sure why the title says “A Week” since the reference really wasn’t there for me but none the less I did enjoy this story. Savannah had a troubled past and her emotional turmoil seemed to too light sided at first. As the story progressed her dysfunction became more apparent. With more than one dominant male character in her life, this aspect was under played.
Over all I felt like this was a very young and inexperienced depiction of events, even younger than a New Adult book. The characters and story line had a lot more potential than what was there. In spite of that I still want to read the next book, because this is a cliff hanger. Typically I hate cliff hangers and when I see an author is writing a series I usually wait until I see all the books are available so I can continue reading them one after another. Please S.J. (also a character in the book, any  connection?) don’t leaving me hanging. I expect that your writing is just going to get better and better as you continue to grow as an author.
